Dr Tan Cheng Bock: "It must have been good, but I lost it somehow..."

The quoted part of the title is not Dr Tan Cheng Bock's words, mind you. It's part of the Roxette's song, "It Must Have Been Love".

Nevertheless, it was a good lost, Dr Tan Cheng Bock. And you, Sir, are really gracious in accepting the defeat. Admirable.

Former Presidential candidate Dr Tan Cheng Bock made 25 stops around Singapore thanking supporters.

With his family and 30 supporters, Dr Tan hopped on a open-top double-decker bus with the aim of covering 25 locations around the island.

The day started at 7.30am at Commonwealth.

While driving through housing estates, Dr Tan received smiles, friendly car honks and waves of approval.

He posed for photos with supporters, shook hands and signed autographs on campaign souvenirs.

He may not have been elected as Singapore's seventh President, but Dr Tan Cheng Bock felt that he owed something to those who voted for him. He said: "I think I owe something to the voters. Many of them have given me their votes and I should say thank you to them."

From Asiaone, "Tan Cheng Bock goes on island-wide thank you parade".
