Gary Yue Mun Yew: Yew must not be idle, yew know!

Well, you know what they say in French: "L'oisiveté est la mère de tous les vices". Uhm, or in English: "Idleness is the mother of all vices".

In Portuguese, they'd say "Cabeça vazia é oficina do diabo" or in English, "An empty head is the devil's workshop".

In Spanish it is "La pereza es la madre de todos los vicios" or in English, "Laziness is the mother of all vices".

In Italian it is "L'ozio è il padre dei vizi" or in English, "Idleness is the father of the vices".

So I digress. A lot. For more other languages' references, you may want to check out here.

What I'd like to blog about is Gary Yue Mun Yew. He is 36. He is jobless. And he has such a great vision to call for an assassination against a certain politician.

I'd like to see how he sneaks away from this case. Plead insanity because he has too much idle time being jobless?!?!

A jobless man allegedly posted a video clip of former Egyptian president Anwar Sadat's assassination to the Facebook page of socio-political website Temasek Review, calling for such an event to be re-enacted here.

Gary Yue Mun Yew, 36, has also been accused of posting, on his own Facebook page last year, a doctored photograph of a Vietnamese soldier holding a gun to the head of then Deputy Prime Minister Wong Kan Seng, whose head had been superimposed onto the original image.

Yue, who allegedly committed the offences in his Marine Parade home, is due back in court on Thursday.

Under the law, whoever is convicted of making or communicating an electronic record containing an incitement to violence shall be punished with up to five years' jail, a fine or both.

From Straits Times, "Man accused of inciting violence on Facebook".
