CONCEPT

We are living in an age of rapid transformation.
IT IS AN AGE OF SOCIO ECONOMIC, POLITICAL, SCINTIFIC AND ECOLOGICAL TRANSFORMATION.
THE CHARACTER OF LAND IS CHANGING AND AS A RESULT CHANGING THE  URBAN SPACE ………
ENVIORNMENT  IS  ONE  OF  THE  MOST  IMPORTANT  ISSUE  ,  WE  MUST  LOOK  INTO .  OTHERWISE   THE
CIVILISATION  AS  A  WHOLE  WILL  COME  TO  AN  END .
As a result visualizing into the issues and perspective of the changing space in all respect is also changing.
lot  of  issues  such  as ,  the  issues  of  urbanization  ,  counter-urbanization , suburbanization ,   the  issue  of
existence  within  city  space  ,  land  making  ,
reconstructed  soil   ,  degeneration  of  land  and  nature ,  all  these  are  a  global  phenomenon .
Agricultural land disappearing into giant   industry   ,  forests  and  mangroves  are  destroyed  due  counter
urbanization  and    unplanned  suburbanization  .
These  all  and  many  more  ……………  are  engulfing  civilization  as  a  whole  ………….
Urbanization and increased levels of social activity interact with global-change processes,
such as climate and land use change  .  Urbanization  causes some  good   changes in the living conditions
Under  which people live and work.  Especially in developing countries  .  This often leads to adverse living conditions . Polarization of territory between urban
and rural and accessibility are still important aspects in landscape dynamics. Urbanization and its associated
transportation infrastructure define the relationship  between city and countryside.

As  a    result  of   uncontrolled  and  unplanned  urbanization ,  suburbanization  in   most   of  the  developing  countries  ,  environmental degradation and
degeneration  has been occurring  very rapidly and causing shortages of housing,  worsening water quality, excessive
air pollution,  noise, dust and heat,
flood  and the problems of disposal   of solid wastes and hazardous wastes. The large  metropolitan cities present a
particularly  depressing picture today.
The situations in  metropolises  in  our  country   is becoming worse year by year.
The problems of  finding space and housing for all have been  intensified.
Slums have become an inevitable part  of the major Indian metropolises.  Environmental pollution in India can broadly
be attributed to rapid industrialization energy  production, urbanization, commercialization,  increase in the number
of motorized vehicles   and   deforestation  . Vehicles are a major source of  pollutants in cities and towns.
The concentration  of ambient air pollutants in the metropolitan  cities of India as well as many of the Indian
cities  are  high  enough to cause increased mortality.

The  rate of generation of solid waste in urban centers  has outpaced population growth in recent years  with the
wastes  normally disposed in low-lying  areas

of the city’s outskirts .  more  or  less same  is  the  condition  of  almost  all  developing  countries  as  per  many
documents  where  the  process  of  urban growth  is  not  pre  assessed   …………

Its   how   do these   transformations   and   urbanization   affect ….. life  , isolation   struggle  ,  forced migration  ,
dreams  ,  hopes  ,  despair …….Affect  human and nature coexistence  and  the  environment in  all  respect  …………..

Sprawling urban areas and enormous populations exert a tremendous amount of stress on the environment.
Resources are heavily concentrated in urban areas, causing major challenges in waste disposal, noise,
air and water  pollution, soil erosion, deforestation and many others.

As a result the environment, particularly biodiversity , is under constant threat. Mega cities are a major source of
greenhouse gases emissions, which cause global warming.

Human activities and consumption patterns, coupled with industrial and commercial concentrations in these cities,
drain resources found in urban and neighboring areas. They also compromise the environmental conditions
of these areas.

The current population trend is definitely bearing an adverse impact on the quality of natural resources, such as water,
food, forest and air. There is a global shortage of potable water and food.

The world’s forest areas are shrinking. The quality of air in some cities is leading to health problems in certain
people.The current condition of the
environment is barely sustainable enough to maintain a decent human existence.

Despite all the challenges we face, it is humans who are ultimately responsible for this destruction to our natural
environment. Constantly increasing  global population is not a good step toward tackling this issue. It  may help win
an election, but it will not win the struggle for a better life on earth.

Population trends, urbanization and environmental challenges demand comprehensive and long-term policy
responses  from concerned governments  and  public  effort  as  a  whole  .

WORK PROCESS

I HAVE   BEEN   CONSTANTLY   THINKING   ABOUT   THE   TRANSFORMATION   FROM   CAVE   PAINTING
TO   THE   POST   MODERN   PAINTING   ……….
SIMILARLY  FROM  THE  CAVE  MAN  TO  THE  POSTMODERN  HUMAN BEING ………..
ALONG  WITH  THE  INDO-ISLAMIC  ARCHITECTURE ,
HERE  IN  THIS  PART  OF  THE  GLOVE  European colonists brought with them to India concepts of their
"world view" and a whole baggage of the history of European architecture --- Neo-Classical, Romanesque,
Gothic and Renaissance.  The initial structures were utilitarian warehouses and
walled trading posts, giving way to fortified towns along the coastline.

IT  IS  A  LONG  PHASE  OF  TRANSFORMATION  , EVALUTION  ,  CONFLICT  ,  DEGENARATION  ,
REGENARATION   AND  OFCOURSE  A  HISTORY  OF  COEXISTANCE  ………..

MY WORKS ARE AN OUT COME OF CONTINIOUS CONFLICT AND SOMETIMES   IT  IS A NOSTALGIC APPRAISAL OF  ECOLOGICAL TRANSFORMATION OF LAND AND URBAN SPACE  RELATED TO SOCIO – POLITICAL CHANGE
MY  TRAVEL  ACROSS  SOUTH  SOUTH EAST  ASIA  --   India  , Nepal , Bhutan , Malaysia ,
Singapore   , China  ,    etc   .   MY  URBAN BROUGHT UP  IN  A  POST  COLONIAL  COUNTRY  WHICH  HAS
A  PROMINENT  INFLUENCE  OF  EUROPEAN  ARCHITECTURE  SARROUNDED  BY SUBURBAN AREAS  WHICH
IS  AGAIN  SARROUNDED  BY  NON – URBAN  CULTIVATED  LAND  HAS BEEN CONSTANTLY  SHIFTING
MY FOCUS  FROM ONE HORIZON  TO OTHER  , THUS  CREATING
A  CONFLICT  WHICH  IS BREWED  ON  THE  CANVAS  WITH  ALL  ITS  SOCIAL  VITALITY  .
MY FORMATS ARE GRACEFULLY   GORGEOUS,  PAINTERLY  TREATED WITH POTENTIALLY  FORCEFULL STROKS,
BRIGHT COLOURS WITH LAND AND URBAN  DARKNESS . . . . . . . . THIS  IS HOW I  SPEAK  ABOUT THE CHANGE .

Their is an attempt to show how the plurality of LAND space and its fast changing nature affect me and my surrounding ,
excite imagination and challenge our creative instinct and at the end of the day what emerges from this confrontation is considerable imaginative  which comes to grips  with the complex LAND urban fusion in all it’s variety.
There is an underlying sense in my richly textured pictures that the space possesses a great variety of aspects which transcends mare usability. It speaks about the pain the community as a  whole affected by aggressive urbanization, ECOLOGICAL degeneration ………. destroying the cartography as a whole...…..

 OBJEJTIVE

For  cultural  analysis  ,   theoretical  focus  on  postmodernism   and   historical  focus  on  metropolis  and  the
process  of  urbanization as  a  whole  is  to  be  taken  in  consideration ………….
Painting  or  the  cultural  practice  as  a  whole  is  essentially  a  multi disciplinary  study  ……… the  concept  of
ecological   city  has  a  long been history  within  the  theories  of  urbanism ……IT  IS  THE  HIGH  TIME  FOR  US
TO  REGULATE  AND  HUMANISE  THE  PROCESS  OF  URBANISATION
AND  LET  OUR  EARTH  SURVIVE  FOR  EVER  Functional urban regions (FURs) are a new concept,
which is also significant for landscape ecologists.
Local landscape change can only be comprehended when situated in its general geographical context
and with all its related dynamics. Patterns of change are different for the countryside near major cities,
for metropolitan   villages and for remote rural villages. Planning and designing landscapes for the future
requires that this is understood. Urbanized landscapes are highly dynamic,
complex and multifunctional. Therefore, detailed inventories of landscape conditions and monitoring of
change are urgently needed in order  to obtain reliable  data  for good decision-making.
……………  I   INTARACT  WITH  THE  CHANGING  BOUNDARIES  AND  THE  CHANGING  LAND
AND  URBAN SPACE  …………..  TRYING  TO  CREATE  A  NEW  VOCABULARY  ………….
TO  exchange dialogue between art and society  . I am a part of the whole process of the changing scenario...
