The Great Singapore Sale 2011 challenges you to shop till you drop!!

The Great Singapore Sale this year is coming soon! Mark the dates from 27 May to 24 July. This is going to to be the best period to indulge in some serious shoppings. Heh.

Check out the official website for this annual shopping event. Titled, "The Great singapore Sale 2011" (yeah, don't ask why the word 'singapore' is not using a capital 'S') it says:

Rules & regulations as follow:
1. The Challenge is open to everyone who is at least 18 years old as at 1 January 2011.

2. Staff of the Great Singapore Sale 2011 Organising Committee (Singapore Retailers Association secretariat, Baywatch Association secretariat, Orchard Road Business Association secretariat, The Association of Shopping Centres Singapore secretariat, Singapore Tourism Board, SPRING Singapore, MasterCard, Singapore Press Holdings) and the 4 participating malls (Suntec City Mall, Marina Square, Millenia Walk, Marina Bay Link Mall) are not eligible for the Challenge.

3. Shoppers must spend $30 in a single receipt at Suntec City Mall, Marina Square, Millenia Walk or Marina Bay Link Mall from 29 April to 18 May 2011 to get one lucky draw coupon. Charge your purchases to MasterCard® to double your chances! Limited to a maximum of 10 chances per shopper per day, regardless of total receipt amount. MasterCard members are entitled to a maximum of 20 chances per day, regardless of total receipt amount.

4. All purchases must be a transaction at a physical location. Online transactions, recurring payments (eg. insurance, GIRO), bill payments, purchase of vouchers and bank / money changing transactions are not eligible.

5. Receipts and charge slips must be kept as proof of purchase.

6. All entries for the Challenge must be submitted and dropped into the 4 participating malls’ concierges at Suntec City Mall, Marina Square, Millenia Walk and Marina Bay Link Mall by Wednesday, 18 May 2011, 9.59pm, after which the Draw for the participants will close.

7. The Organising Committee will not be held responsible for the loss of opportunity to participate if the registering entry is not received for whatever reasons.

8. 20 lucky shoppers will be picked to participate in the Challenge. The draw will be conducted on Thursday, 19 May, 11am in the respective participating malls’ management office. All selected participants will be notified via phone.

9. Participants will be notified latest by Monday, 23 May 2011 to participate in the Great Singapore Sale Challenge on 27, 28 OR 29 May 2011. Time segment for the participants to be determined by the Organising Committee.

10. Upon selection, the participants must produce their NRICs or passports, receipts and charge slips as proof of purchase and provide all necessary documents required by the Organising Committee in order to be eligible for the Challenge, failing which the Organising Committee reserves the right to disqualify the participant.

11. Each participant has to form a team of 2 (including himself / herself) for the Great Singapore Sale Challenge on 27, 28 OR 29 May 2011. There will be five winning teams in total, and each winning team will win up to $1,000 worth of prizes.

12. All participants are required to attend a briefing prior to the start of the Challenge. The briefing will be conducted by the event manager on the day of the Challenge. Timing to be advised.

13. All participants are required to sign an indemnity form prior to the Challenge. The Organising Committee will not be responsible for any injury, death, accident, illness or other loss or damage suffered by the participants during the course of the Challenge.

14. The decision of the Organising Committee is final and no correspondence will be entertained.

15. The Rules & Regulations are subject to change without prior notice at the discretion of the Organising Committee.
